So apparently even writing about Max I can't keep up with writing regularly! This week has just been nutty, and I'm sure I will get better about it in the coming weeks. On a brighter note, I got three awesome packages on Thursday...which I definitely needed! Wednesday and Thursday were both long, hard days, so it was nice to come home to a stack of packages waiting for me! Max got a new diaper bag. It's actually a North Face backpack I got on clearance from Moosejaw, but it's fantastic! It's big and roomy with lots of pockets and water bottle holders on the side. Plus, it's waterproof! Also, I got an Ergo that I bought from my friend Trish...Thank you, Trish! It's beautiful! I'll have to post pictures soon. And I got a sample of deodorant from CJ's Sewing Room where I get Max's amazing diaper cream (CJ's BUTTer). I am testing it for her, and so far I love it! I'm amazed at how well it works for being an all natural deodorant and not an antiperspirant. Although, I chickened out and wore a strong antiperspirant to the gym yesterday.
Also, I went on another mini online shopping spree last night. Ugh! I got such great deals, though, that I couldn't pass them up. Max is getting a new bright green Rumparooz diaper with a hemp insert (which I've been dying to try!), a travel wetbag with a zipper, and some liners/inserts for his diapers. Also, I had a e-gift card from Kanga Care from when his old Rumparooz delaminated, so I bought him a little zip of snack bag. The code was only for $5, so I couldn't rationalize spending another $20 on a new diaper he didn't really need. Plus, the snack bag will come in handy!
Speaking of snack bags, Nicki's Diapers is giving away a Planet Wise snack pack on her blog Nicki's Weekly Giveaway #9: Planet Wise Snack Pack! It includes a window bag, a snack wrap and a snack bag. My favorite wetbags are from Planet Wise, and I've been dying to try these snack bags! I get so sad at the number of ziploc bags I through away every week. I definitely recommend checking out the giveaway, and her blog! It has great articles about CDing and lots of other stuff. She's also one of my favorite CD stores!
That's all for now. I promise to get better about posting updates!

New Direction
Ok, I'm going to completely change the direction of this blog, or maybe extend the direction is more accurate. I'll still use it as a place to write about important, or not so important, ideas that are on my mind, but since I don't seem to have the extra time to sit and write those thoughts regularly, I'm also going to use it as a record for Max.
I keep thinking that I need to start recording his little milestones (and big milestones!) so that I can remember him as a baby once he's grown.
Today, Max tried avocado for the first time. It is the first solid food that he has completely rejected! He's made weird faces at a few foods, but within a few bites was happily eating away. Not avocado, though. His first bite, he made a disgusted face. His second bite, he looked at me spit the mushed up avocado back at me as hard as he could, and then started to cry. If I wasn't feeling so bad for him, I would have found it hysterical. Okay, maybe I did find it a little funny anyway.
The other funny thing is that I never wanted to make him avocado in the first place. Avocado kind of grosses me out (except for guacamole...yum!), so I was not excited to buy it and mash it up for Max. However, I read about all these great health benefits, so I thought I would try it. Apparently, Max is just like his momma!

New Year's Resolution
I can't believe it's 2011 already! I rang in the new year watching a House marathon while Max slept next to me...and I couldn't have imagined a better way to celebrate.
Here are my resolutions for 2011. I figure getting them written down will help me stick to them.
- Work out at least 5 times/week for at least 20 minutes
- No more fast food
- No buying coffee
- Eat better. If I can't lose weight eating better and working out, I will start Weight Watchers.
- Recycle
- Follow a budget/be more frugal.
It seems like a lot. Really, though, I'm just trying to lose the baby weight for the weddings I'm in this year. Also, I want to be more environmentally friendly. Helping the environment has always been very important to me, but I know I could do better with the recycling. Last, I need to watch my expenses better. With a heavier class load, I won't be able to make as much money as I have in the past.
That's all I have for now!
